Senior Internal Communications Specialist (individual contributor)

Munich (hybrid, 60% office, 40% home - over a month, relocation/visa support provided if needed)

EUR 80,000.00 - 100,000.00 annual gross + 10% bonus (company performance related)

My client is a rapidly growing consumer brand at the forefront of innovation in delivering exceptional products and services. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Internal Communications Change Specialist to join their People team.

Position Overview: The organisation has been through many structural changes and has some more Operational and IT changes ahead. Sadly the wider team has not felt engaged in the changes and lost buy in so a Senior hire is needed to ensure all changes and communications strategies are communicated effectively to the wider team and they personal contribution to the business success is clear and valued. You will also implement a brand new Internal Communications strategy encompassing all elements of internal communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and the CPEO's vision.
  • Collaborate with leadership to understand business priorities and translate them into clear and impactful communication initiatives.
  • Create engaging content for various internal channels, including newsletters, emails, intranet, and other communication platforms.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all internal communication materials.
  • Implement strategies to maximize the reach and impact of internal communications.
  • Work closely with HR and senior leadership to support employee engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement programs that enhance employee morale, satisfaction, and a sense of belonging.
  • Assist in communicating organizational changes, ensuring that employees are well-informed and prepared for any transitions.
  • Collaborate with the CPEO and other leaders to manage internal communication related to significant company-wide initiatives.
  • Establish mechanisms for obtaining feedback on internal communication effectiveness.
  • Use data and analytics to measure the impact of communication initiatives and continuously refine strategies for improvement.
  • Develop crisis communication plans and protocols in collaboration with the CEPO and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to internal communication needs during crises or sensitive situations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 8-10 years' of communications experience and at least 3-4 years in global internal change communications, preferably in a fast-paced online or scale-up consumer environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus).
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels of the organisation.

Familiarity with latest communication tools and technologies
