Senior Insurance Advisor

Job Location: Ringwood, Hampshire

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum + bonus

Hours: 9am - 6pm Monday - Thursday with a 5pm finish on Friday - no weekends!

We are working with a specialist insurance company who is on the lookout for either an experienced Senior Insurance Advisor.

This company pride themselves on their reputation for high quality customer service, 5* reviews & defaqto ratings and

their ability to provide cover for complex, non-standard home insurance requirements.

This role involves managing a newly formed team that has been created to follow up on enquiries which have come directly through the company website. You and your team will be responsible for responding to these enquiries in an efficient, friendly and helpful manner.

Although you will be supporting, guiding and training your team, you will need to be hands on as you will be required to lead by example and occasionally go on the phone to help customers.

This is not your typical call centre position; this is a more personable and traditional working environment working within an office of around 30 people. It is an excellent opportunity to work with a friendly company who support their staff with progression, ongoing training, support and insurance qualifications (CII)

Key responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Driving and delivering target for the company’s direct sales channel (company website)
  • Leading by example with your sales ability
  • Coaching, training and supporting your team
  • Providing first class customer service (telephone, live chat, email)
  • Ensuring that the correct cover is administered depending on customer requirements
  • Following processes and guidelines (compliance, treating customers fairly)
  • Dealing with complex and bespoke quotations and enquiries
  • Communicating with different departments across the business to ensure customer requirements are met and understood
  • Ensuring databases are kept up to date with correct customer details, communications and progress

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years insurance sales experience
  • Experience managing OR coaching a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality of work
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to make an active contribution to a positive, progressive culture within the company
  • Strong work ethic and attitude
  • Good computer skills - Microsoft Office
