Senior Infrastructure Engineer

The organisation I am working with is a world-renowned automotive manufacturer, and we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT department. The role reports to the IT Principal Infrastructure Engineer and offers the opportunity to work with advanced technology solutions as this organisation embarks on a significant period of growth.

Your new role:
As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the organisations Windows Server and Storage enterprise architecture. You will provide third-line support for IT Windows Server and Storage and lead significant technical projects. You will ensure best practice is implemented, modernise the IT infrastructure, deliver innovative, cost-effective, and efficient IT solutions, improve the security of IT systems, and provide a high-quality BAU service. You will also minimise business risk by maximising the best use of the current environment and resources/equipment.

What you\'ll need to succeed:

• BSc Degree or equivalent in computer studies and a professional IT qualification
• ITIL v3 foundation qualification
• Wide experience in administering IT systems, providing 3rd line support, within medium/large environments
• Experience in system/solutions architecture, design/consultancy role for systems integrator/VAR
• Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 10, 7, XP, 2000) with imaging management and deployment tools (SCCM/SCOM/Macrium)
• Windows server operating systems (Windows 2019, 2016, 2012, 2008, 2003, 2000 and NT)
• Operating system patch management (SCCM/WSUS)
• Microsoft Office Suite (2003 onwards)
• Office 365
• Hypervisor/Virtualization installation, configuration, and administration (VMware v6.5 onwards)
