Job Overview:
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Senior Healthcare Assistants. In this role, you will provide crucial support and care to individuals in diverse healthcare environments, including Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Care Home settings. Positions: Senior Healthcare Assistant / Senior Support Worker
Locations: London; Kent; Suffolk; Surrey; Essex; West Midlands; Liverpool; North West England; East England

Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential support and care to individuals in healthcare settings.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, adhering to proper protocols and documentation.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, promptly reporting any abnormalities or concerns.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring adequate nutrition and hydration for individuals.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Effectively communicate with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring clear understanding and coordination of care.
  • Supervise and support junior healthcare assistants, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing the unique needs and preferences of each individual.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated understanding of personal care tasks, medication administration, and healthcare protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and connect with individuals and their families.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing the dignity, autonomy, and well-being of individuals.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Current DBS clearance and relevant immunizations.

  15. NVQ Level 2 or 3 OR GSCE Assessment Test
