We have a successful brand that is looking for a Childrenswear Garment Technologist to join their team working across multiple premium brands. This opportunity is to join a highly reputable global business offering progression and growth opportunities. You will be based in their central London buzzy Design Studio.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for taking the product, from development through all the stages to product delivery
  • Clear understanding on maintaining fit consistency. Monitor and maintain Grade rules
  • Ensure that all garments conform to the latest UK Health and Safety legislation and perform to all standards to meet retailers guidelines
  • Ensure the designs that are created are engineered within cost structure and make up capabilities
  • Design pack development handover and critical path: Ensure the correct block ref size spec and technical data are completed working to the critical path dates
  • Identify new developments that require technical support
  • Risk assess to identify high risk product for production
  • Critical Path: Ensure that all seals process/tests are achieved at each stage to critical path dates
  • Wearer Trials: Identify new and ongoing product for wearer trials. Identifying any potential issues on key lines
  • Liaise with factories overseas
  • Attend meetings with Buyers when required


Person Specification:

  • Must have experience and knowledge of garment construction in childrenswear
  • A proven track record in a similar Technologist role from either a retailer or a supplier
  • Excellent team player with good communication skills
  • Flexibility and show initiative
  • Attention to detail and deadline management
