Location - Coventry

Our client is an established contract manufacturing organisation (CMO) providing services on a global scale. As a fully regulatory compliance facility, they are able to provide technical innovation supporting with the formulation and development of novel cleaning products across many sectors.

An opportunity has now become available for an experience Formulation and Development Chemist to join the company and lead new product development projects.

Core responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of NPD (new product development) projects, providing commercial solutions and ensuring successful programme delivery.
• Manage a small team of chemists to support project delivery
• Utilise formulation and product development knowledge to deliver on commercial briefs
• Lead in the identification and sourcing of novel ingredients to facilitate product development
• Work closely with regulatory and quality teams to ensure product compliance.
• Support with development of analytical methods

Suitable applicants:

• Experienced Chemist with strong technical background in formulation and development, ideally within cleaning products/hygiene products/biocides
• Good industry knowledge gained through relevant chemical industry experience
• Prior experience leading NPD projects and offering innovative solutions for project delivery
• Management experience
• Knowledge of chemical-related regulations
• Educated to a minimum of BSc in a Chemistry discipline (or equivalent experience)
