Financial Accountant

LSL is a leading provider of estate agency franchise services in the UK, boasting a network spanning over 300 territories.

Our LSL Franchising Finance Team are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant on a full time, permenant basis, based at our office in Newcastle.

You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, producing statutory accounts, and supporting the finance team in auditing. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional service to Franchisees and providing valuable support to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate accurate management accounts and statutory accounts within agreed timescales.
• Review balance sheets monthly and contribute to company-wide financial forecasts and budgets.
• Produce ad hoc reports as required and support cross-functional projects.
• Mentor junior team members for their career development and maintain a high-performing Finance team.
• Assist in budget preparation for non-financial staff and demonstrate strong analytical skills

Requirements:

• Honesty, integrity, and financial soundness.
• Relevant experience in large/corporate organizations, preferably in producing statutory accounts.
• Knowledge of the SUN accounts system preferred.
• Experience leading teams and managing people.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Problem-solving, decision-making, and customer service orientation.
• Qualification as a Chartered Accountant/CIMA.
