Senior Financial Accountant - NHS

Your new role
The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for preparation of monthly and year-end accounts. Maintaining and improving the integrity of the Group's Balance Sheet.
To be responsible for the delivery of the financial accounting systems, ensuring they are in line with best practice.
To be responsible for capital planning, forecasting, and reporting for the business and its subsidiaries.
To play an integral part in capital prioritisation for agreeing the capital plans.
To manage VAT accounting and provide advice on all VAT related matters.
To be responsible for forecasting, planning and budget setting for leases, depreciation, PDC Dividends and other financial accounting charges.
To promote a professional approach to ensuring the compliance of the companies' key governance policies, namely, the Standing Orders, Standing Financial Instructions and Scheme of Delegation. To ensure that the companies are compliant with legislative requirements and deadlines.
To be one of the main points of contact for internal and external audits.
To manage and develop a team.
What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Accountant
• Able to demonstrate post-qualification accounting experience
• Minimum 2 years in a senior finance role
• Experience of capital accounting and managing financial accounting, audit, VAT & system management
