JOB TITLE: Senior Finance Officer

LOCATION: Maidstone, Kent

SALARY: £33,000 to £37,000 once permanent

TERM: Temp to Perm

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 37hrs a week (flexible hours available)

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will be working as a Finance Officer, based at Head Office, but also with variety of visiting other local offices from time to time (mileage will be paid for).

The day to day duties in your new job would be:

• Maintaining rigorous and transparent financial and accounting procedures for the business
• Providing support to business managers via phone and email
• Providing one-to-one support for finance staff where needed
• Supporting the Finance and HR Officer with Capital Program tasks
• Supporting the Finance and HR Manager with HR tasks
• Analysing existing financial data, including month-end checks and reconciliations to ensure financial procedures are being carried out correctly
• To carry out finance and HR project work as directed
• Completing and analysing monthly financial spreadsheet reconciliations
• Providing support in relation to the year-end, three-year planning, and the monitoring processes
• Collating data from departments/offices across the company
• Liaising with internal and external auditors
• Provide admin support for schools through the academy conversion process.
• Preparing and delivering training to finance staff in relation to improving the quality of data
• Conducting compliance visits to sites to ensure procedures are being followed correctly
• Completing site visits providing support where required
• Supporting the central finance team with any queries

We'd love to speak to candidates who:

• Have a strong Finance background
• Hold an Accounting qualification - ACCA, AAT or similar (not essential)
• Are strong communicators who can lead and direct other staff members on finance tasks
