Senior Finance Manager

Contract: MAT Cover until October 2025

Location: Crewe, UK with flexiblehybridworking ( 3 days on site in the office)

Rate: £28ph - £30.50

Hours: Monday - Friday 37 hours a week

This position supports the Head Of Finance and Risk - Battery Electric Vehicle. Main goal is to ensure complete Financial Control of one of the BEV Programmes, ensuring all necessary processes are being complied to, and the necessary financial performance of the programme is transparent at any time, including risks and opportunities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Control and Report the financial performance of the BEV Project at regular intervals. This could be at specific Project Gateways, or during budget, forecast or planning round periods. Control should ensure all targets are being adhered to, and the necessary variances are transparent where necessary. Adherence to relevant processes is also key. Timely communication into the Modules and Project Team is vital to ensure understanding and transparency, helping to identify target achievement.
  2. Assisting and helping to create a Risk Management Programme within the BEV Project. This should be in accordance with the agreed Risk Management Process and should incorporate all relevant vehicle programme risk data , in compliance with the Central relevant risk management process. Constant review of lessons learned from previous programmes should be part of this. Adherence to appropriate audit regulations should be considered
  3. Evaluation of any scenario work that impacts this specific project, or potentially, any other vehicle programme that uses the same platform. This can be significant during Cycle Plan evaluations, and close alignment with the Financial Planning Team is crucial. This evaluation should take into account Revenues and Expenditures, and Impacts on existing Financial Plans.
  4. Active participation within the project team to constructively challenge Expenditures and unit costs in order to achieve the best financial result. Financial Risk Management is also key, ensuring timing and responsibility of each risk is clear.
  5. Active participation with the Strategic programmes, providing functional guidance, and overall business acumen and knowledge. Communicate strategic project progress back to function and implement training and coaching where necessary. Coordinate with other Finance Colleagues to ensure no duplication of effort.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Must hold an accounting qualification and be fully qualified.

Must be comfortable with international and local travel

Desirable to have worked within the automotive enviroment.
