Senior Finance Manager - Legal Services

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Manager to join a progressive Legal Services organisation as Practice Manager.  

As the Practice Manager, you will lead the Finance function and oversee all aspects of financial support for the organisation. This includes managing personnel, overseeing financial reporting, budget setting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial advice.

The position offers a competitive package and would be ideally suited to an experienced finance professional with experience providing financial support to a law firm or legal department.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Finance team and oversee all aspects of financial management, including monitoring and reporting on financial performance, billing, and receivables
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors on budget setting and performance reporting
• Provide financial guidance on firm-wide projects and business growth initiatives
• Manage team activities, including performance management and workload delegation
• Ensure compliance with legal practice management requirements
• Support overall firm management, including staff performance, service planning, and financial management

Requirements:

• Finance qualification or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Solicitors Account Rules (SAR) and financial reporting
• Experience leading, managing or supervising a finance team
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
