Senior Estimator

A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a Senior Estimator for a permanent contract on behalf of our client based in Basildon.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to accurately estimate costs for facade projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals, adhering to established deadlines and budgetary constraints.
• Utilize industry-leading software and methodologies to perform quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and risk assessments.
• Evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with each project, offering strategic recommendations to optimize outcomes.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to continuously improve estimation processes and enhance competitiveness.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to estimators, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in facade estimation, with a minimum of 5years in a senior role.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, CostX) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building codes related to facades.
