Title: Senior Electronics Engineer

Type: Permanent

Location: Chertsey

Hours: 37.5

Required:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent in electronics or a related discipline.
  • Experience in leading an engineering team.
  • Able to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Role:

Create electronics selection and qualification guidelines, standardised testing methods, unify the test plates for components screening and evaluation.

Develop electronic test plan, perform the test, generate test report, and maintain good documentation standards.

Duties:

  • Responsible for conceptual design of systems and sub-systems to meet a set of defined requirements.
  • Leading a team through implementation of the design and subsequent verification and validation activities.
  • Authoring documentation to capture the design for approval within the company and by the customer.
  • Demonstrate compliance with the requirements to the customer in the presence of our quality representatives.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • A full understanding of the engineering life cycle.
  • Leadership experience in an engineering team.
  • Be able to turn customer requirements into a design concept.
  • Must be able to meet legal compliance and safety requirements.
  • Have experience in design, implementation and testing electronic hardware.
  • Provide mentoring for more junior engineers.
  • Engineering/Electronics degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
  • Experience in electronics design.
  • Able to obtain a UK Security Clearance.

Also desirable:

  • Experience developing electronics within the defence industry.
  • Experience meeting EMC and environmental requirements
