We have a brand new opportunity for a Senior Ecologist in Bristol. We are working with an award-winning and long-standing consultancy who are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join the team. The Senior Ecologist position comes with a guide salary of £28,000 - £36,000 depending on your experience. You'll also have paid membership with CIEEM, paid continuous professional development, progression opportunities, flexible & hybrid working, thorough Health and Safety training and TOIL policy.

As a Senior Ecologist, you'll be responsible for leading baseline ecological habitat surveys, protected species surveys and BNG assessments. You'll also manage junior ecologists and work with specialist sub-consultants and preparation of reports and data handling to support site and other survey work. You will also be responsible for managing technical projects, and provide best advice and practice to a range of clients through private, public and third sectors.

To be considered for the Senior Ecologist position, you'll need proven experience with managing projects and preparing reports, hold an appropriate degree and any professional relevant qualifications. You will need a thorough understanding of all ecological survey methods, planning processes and UK & EU protected species legislation. You will also need to hold a full UK driving licence. You will also need to hold one or more protected species licences for this position.
