SENIOR DIRECTOR - Game Design

Bring our games to life by creating exciting new concepts that drive slot gameplay. Lead a team of exceptionally talented Creators to provide the best gaming experience for the slot player.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any Creative Leaders who could be based from any of our fantastic locations around Europe.

As the Senior Games Design Director, you will spearhead a brand new project with a team responsible for the conceptualisation, design, mathematics, and development of captivating and engaging casino games. These teams sit primarily in the EMEA and LATAM regions.

Leveraging your creative vision, leadership skills, and industry expertise, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the gaming experience for our players.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of game designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Organize and direct brainstorming sessions to generate creative game concepts and themes that align with market trends and player preferences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, developers, and marketing, to refine and develop game concepts.
  • Ensure that game designs align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Work with the Business Intelligence Analysts and Market Experts to refine and improve designs to create market leading games.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to those on your team and the wider teams.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to enhance game designs.
  • Work closely with commercial and marketing teams to develop strategies for game launches.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience leading a team in game design, with a focus on casino slot games.
  • Current experience acting as a "Head of"or "Director capacity"
  • Thorough comprehension of fundamental game design principles, encompassing mechanics, player behavior, and the intricate interplay of gaming elements.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in casino game design (Eastern European market knowledge is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of game development processes and methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills to guide and inspire a diverse team of game designers.
  • Experience with managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring timelines and milestones are met
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience in collaborating with stakeholders, including executives, publishers, and marketing teams.

Desirable

  • Artistic appreciation, showcasing an understanding and appreciation for the aesthetic aspects of game design.
  • Proficiency in using game design tools and software. (C#, C++, Unity)
  • Specific experience in designing games tailored for Eastern European markets, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and market awareness.
  • Mathematical acumen, particularly in math models relevant to game design.
  • Knowledge of European casino gaming regulations and compliance, showcasing a nuanced understanding of legal and regulatory aspects in the gaming industry.
