The Role: The Senior Digital Designer will be a key stakeholder in shaping the brand's digital output, working closely alongside the Mid-weight Digital Designers, the Head of Image and the Image and Content Project Manager. Tasked with leading medium and large scale design projects from brief through to delivery, the Senior Design Designer will work closely with departments across the business to develop and execute strategically astute creative solutions to meet business objectives. This role will work hand in hand with the other teams within Image - most significantly Film & Photography, Print/ Physical Design and Copy - as well as the Digital Marketing and Digital Trade teams to create campaigns, content and assets of all scales for all of the brand's digital touchpoints globally. The Senior Digital Designer will support the refining and evolving of the brand Image, contributing to the building of iconography and brand signatures across digital outputs. The position will be required to present solutions to briefs that support the brand strategy, both commercially and creatively. The right candidate must be highly creative with the ability to take hold of a project from the initial concept stage and carry it through to delivery. You will be responsible for creating and developing all manner of digital ad formats, taking supplied videos and stills from the Film and Photography team, adding end screens and formatting to meet the specific requirements of digital platforms, Out of Home media sites etc. The role will be responsible for designing emails, homepages and campaign landing pages for mulberry.com, designing campaign roll-outs for third party sites and comms. avenues, plus global social channels. You will occasionally work with external specialists - such as animators, illustrators, CGI artists, composers etc. - creating briefs, managing the progression of projects, providing feedback and guidance and ensuring strong results delivered on time. The Senior Digital Designer will edit, in collaboration with the Film & Photography team, video content for small to large scale brand campaigns and product pushes. Hybrid working applies to this role, meaning you can work 50% of your time from our beautiful office in Kensington and 50% of your time from home. Duties & Responsibilities: Concept, Strategise & Research - Meet with the briefing stakeholders and establish key project objectives. - Concept creative approaches that reflect the brand positioning, are practically achievable and are strategically appropriate. - Propose original routes that are informed by thorough research. - Manage workload and ensure timely delivery of all projects, meeting all sign-off points and flagging up any potential risks or delays to the Image and Content Project Manager. Design & Develop - Design engaging, original, functional solutions that align to and enhance the brand's design identity. - Design and deliver solutions that demonstrate a strong understanding of the target audience and native vernacular of the particular platform based on thorough research. - Develop assets fit for multiple digital outputs with external suppliers and creative partners from brief through to final delivery. Execute & Implement - Work closely with external suppliers, internal stakeholders and fellow team members to ensure that final products meet the required quality standards - both in terms of execution and strategic soundness - and are delivered on time. Evaluate & Review - Review the successes and failures of all projects from all perspectives. Seek feedback and performance data from the originator of the brief and apply learnings to future projects. Skills & Experience Required: - Minimum of 4 years working in agency or in-house. - A strong understanding of the luxury and retail sectors. - Expertise in design with a strength in research. - Expert working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe CC & Sketch. - Video editing skills are essential with good knowledge of Premiere and After Effects. Animation skills highly beneficial though not essential. - A high degree of understanding of design and design strategy for Social Media is key. - An ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines with a positive, can-do attitude. - Strong organisational and communication skills. - A strong sense of team with the capacity to be flexible and practical as well as collaborative. - Ambition with an appetite to grow.
