Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer? Have you worked with sheet metal, fabrication, and weldments? Have you previously managed a team? Do you have knowledge of Inventor or SolidWorks? If so, our client, a growing manufacturing business based in Woking, is recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer.

Senior Design Engineer
Job Description
  • Utilising Autodesk Inventor for concept modelling, detailed manufacturing drawings, part and assembly modelling, parametric design, and CAD simulation for optimization and structural analysis.
  • Ensuring that the design team meets deadlines through communication, planning, and monitoring.
  • Organising design review meetings and managing engineering changes and library parts.
  • Leading the team through daily meetings and communication with stakeholders.
  • Managing personal design projects and overseeing all aspects of the design department's functions.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Holder of an engineering degree or relevant qualification.
  • Prior experience managing or leading a team.
  • Strong knowledge of Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Experience with manufacturing processes including weldments, fabrication, and sheet metal.
