SENIOR DATA ENGINEER
LONDON, CURRENTLY FLEXIBLE / REMOTE / HOMEWORKING
UP TO £80,000 to £90,000 (pro-rated)

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be working on a Azure data platform for a successful financial services company that has disrupted the market with its product line. You will be part of a high-performing engineering squad so will remain hands-on to further develop the platform and team members.

THE COMPANY:
It has only been in the last few years that this company has invested in their data function which has massively impacted the growth of the business. They have grown their data department in Data Engineering. The new engineering team's responsibility is to take the data platform to the next level, driving modern ways of working including software principles, testing, CI/CD etc.

THE ROLE:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be taking ownership of the current Azure data platform. It will be beneficial if you have worked within a Software Background to understand the data coming in and to work with all stakeholders across the business to facilitate their needs.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal Senior Data Engineer will have:

  • Worked in a Data Engineering setting.
  • Strong Python coding skills including testing principles (unit testing, TDD/BDD)
  • Experience working with Airflow, Kafka and Azure
  • An understanding of cloud architecture
