Senior Data Engineer

Your new role

• You will be responsible for designing, developing, architecting and constructing data warehouses.
• You will be extracting data from various sources (such as Oracle systems).
• You will be transforming the data into a more useful format (e.g., cleaning, aggregating, and enriching).
• You will be loading the transformed data into the data warehouse.
• You will work closely with business analysts to translate these requirements into technical specifications for data solutions.

Your new company
You will be working for a global manufacturing organisation investing in their business intelligence department, moving into the cloud and searching for a contractor who can help in ensuring the organisation's success by enabling data-driven decision-making. The company is located in Runcorn business park - a valid driving licence and access to a car is imperative to be able to get this job.

What you'll need to succeed

• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (designing, developing, maintaining),
• Tech stack skills - VMware, Navicat, Oracle, Azure (MySQL),
• Both Oracle SQL and MySQL for data querying, manipulation and data management,
• Practical experience in setting up Open Database Connectivity for seamless data integration,
• Experience integrating data warehouses with Tableau.

What you'll get in return
This 6-month contract inside IR35 offers a negotiable day rate. This role requires working in the office 2 - 3 days per week to be able to fully embed yourself with the team and the organisation.
