This global law firm seeks an experienced Lawyer to join their Corporate Transactions team due to a growing workload in the energy sector in the London office.

The role primarily focuses on private M&A and project development across diverse geographies, particularly within the oil and gas sector (including LNG) and broader energy domain. This will also be encompassing energy transition transactions in areas like hydrogen, sustainable fuels, and CCUS.

Team Overview:

  • Recognized for their premier international corporate energy practice, the firm is renowned for providing concise, practical, and business-oriented counsel.
  • They regularly advise various industry stakeholders on prominent transactions and projects that shape the market landscape.
  • Their comprehensive approach involves offering strategic guidance to diverse industry players, enabling them to grasp commercial and legal matters from multiple angles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating transaction documents
  • Managing large-scale due diligence exercises
  • Coordinating transactions and ensuring client objectives are met
  • Engaging in business development and networking
  • Contributing to departmental know-how and mentoring junior lawyers
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management

Role Description:

  • Provide insightful advice to clients with integrity and collaborative teamwork
  • Take ownership of matters with direct client interaction
  • Possess strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Understand and meet client needs effectively

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in corporate transactions Strong academic background
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents
  • Adaptability and cross-jurisdictional experience
  • Client-facing skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Willingness to learn and expand technical knowledge
  • Commercial acumen and leadership capabilities
  • Passion for delivering outstanding client outcomes
