Our client is an established, well-reputed firm that specialises in two areas of law - Residential & Commercial Property and Wills & Probate. They care greatly for their clients and staff, and take a jargon-free, hands-on approach to their work. They are currently looking for a talented Senior Residential Conveyancer to join their team.

Duties

• Handling a mixed caseload of conveyancing files including but not limited to freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, right to buy, shared ownership schemes and auctions
• Communicating with clients to receive instructions
• Giving advice via telephone and email
• Researching details about properties being bought, sold or transferred
• Drafting official documents such as contracts, transfers, undertakings, financial statements etc.
• Building relationships with estate agents, solicitors, brokers, developers and anyone else involved in the transaction
• Preparing draft contract packs and issuing to the buyer’s conveyancer
• Conducting and reviewing property searches
• Reviewing identity documents, source of funds, source of wealth and proof of address
• Calculating stamp duty land taxes and submitting applications online
• Support the development of your assistant through training and performance management

You

• At least 3 years’ experience handling a conveyancing caseload unsupervised
• Working towards or completed CLC or CILEX is preferrable but not essential
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently
• Positive approach to working under pressure
• Discretion and respect for client confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal skills

On Offer

• Annual salary up to £45,000 dependent on experience
• Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
