Senior Commercial Underwriter

IPS Group are working with a forward-thinking Insurance company who are in growth mode and are seeking a Senior Underwriter to join their team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to progress their underwriting career dealing with both new and existing business across commercial insurance with a bias towards liability.

This is a role where you will get lots of exposure to brokers and new business as the plan is for the portfolio to double in size over the next 12 months with plans to further grow that in the future. If you are looking for something client facing then this may just be the role for you.

Some Key Duties / Responsibilities Include:

• Support in the delivery of the Existing Business financial plan.
• Underwrite following Personal Underwriting Authority and Underwriting Guidelines to meet required profit targets.
• Act as a referral point for lower-level Underwriters and support in improving Underwriting capability
