Position: Senior Commercial Account Handler

Location: London - Hybrid

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

The Opportunity

As a Senior Account Handler, you will play a pivotal role within our corporate team, managing a diverse portfolio of mid-corporate to corporate clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic environment where your expertise will contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Take ownership of your own book of renewals, ensuring exceptional service delivery and maintaining strong client relationships. Act as the primary point of contact for client queries and concerns, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Supporting Senior Colleague: Collaborate closely with a senior colleague, assisting in the management of their portfolio and providing support as needed. Work together to develop strategies for client retention and growth.
  • New Business Development: Play a proactive role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the corporate division. Utilise your industry knowledge and network to capitalise on potential leads and contribute to the expansion of our client base.
  • Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments for clients, identifying potential exposures and recommending appropriate insurance solutions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments, including underwriters and claims specialists, to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions that meet clients' needs and expectations.

What’s needed for me to be considered?

  • Experience: Proven experience as an Account Handler within the insurance industry, with a focus on mid-corporate to corporate clients. Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of renewals and drive new business growth.
  • Qualifications: Relevant industry qualifications such as ACII or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Team Player: A collaborative approach with the willingness to support colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and client needs.
