An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced BD specialist to join one of the world's leading law firms. The role would probably suit a very strong executive looking for a step up in responsibilities.

The successful applicant will work with the London Corporate Client & Marketing Development team which primarily supports the corporate practice sector and key client teams to build credibility in key markets, as well as devising strategies to grow existing client relationships, pursue and win new business opportunities and deliver world class marketing support. You will lead the client and market development activities for the London Tech/Digital team which is split into strategic tech advisory (Data, Cyber, AI), complex and tech projects (outsourcing, TSAs) and tech-driven transactions (M&A). The role holder will be an important part of a growing and dynamic practice, with key areas of focus which include AI, strategic sourcing and commercial contracting, digital transformation, data privacy, cybersecurity, tech ethics and emerging technology law and you will work closely with the BD sector leads for the firm’s key growth sectors, Tech, Healthcare and Energy, to help cross sell the team's capabilities with sector clients. You will be an integral member of the Global Tech Group, working closely with the BD Lead for the Global Tech Group and the Tech Group marketing team to help support the London partners to drive initiatives forward. Your key duties will involve research into prospective clients, sector and markets; project management; client relationship management, and supporting practice-specific and client development plans; the creation and delivery of proposal documentation; and building the profile of the group through marketing, collaboration and events. The opportunities are typically cross-practice and multi-jurisdictional, meaning close collaboration with colleagues throughout the network. The team has a responsibility to maintain deal information and prepare directory and award submissions for the groups that they individually support. The Senior Client and Market Development Executive will also work closely with senior stakeholders on technology-based marketing tools and products.

The successful candidate will be joining a very strong team and will find themselves in an excellent environment in which to develop. The role will require proven business development and marketing experience gained in a professional services organisation, ideally a law firm, to include demonstrable success working on competitive proposals. An exceptional team player and highly motivated self-starter, committed to high performance, the Senior Client and Market Development Executive will possess excellent project management and analytical capabilities and strong interpersonal and communications skills. A genuine interest in technology and a willingness to learn more about the industry is also essential.
