Senior Category / Procurement Manager - CapEx

Your new company
You will be working for a large public sector organisation who are highly respected and a top performer in their field. The procurement team are professional, forward-thinking and commercial in their approach. They are currently recruiting a commercially minded Senior Category / Procurement Manager to lead the CapEx category.
Your new role
Supported by a Category Manager, you will manage a specialist category area across the organisation. You will develop and implement category strategies designed to maximise value, establish collaborative supplier relationships and to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, a key focus of the role will be leading on complex tender programmes, commercial negotiations, contract management and supplier management. Projects will be publicly or privately funded and so the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is vital to success.
What you'll need to succeed
You will understand market dynamics and cost drivers and have experience of undertaking a range of sourcing activities including RFQs, formal tenders and sourcing competitions. You will be a strong negotiator with contract management experience to ensure full end to end delivery and robust supplier management. Maximising internal customer experience is a significant part of the role, requiring excellent communication, planning and organisational skills and the ability to foster effective and collaborative relationships across a broad spectrum of stakeholders. Previous experience of CapEx is highly advantageous. Candidates from the private and public sectors will be considered.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £50,585 to £59,395 (including £5,000 market uplift). Other benefits include a generous holiday allowance and an attractive pension scheme.
