Senior Category Manager - NHS

Reed Procurement & Supply Chain are recruiting a Senior Category Manager on behalf of an exciting a fast paced government organisation.

Band 8 position with starting salary of up to £57,000 and extremely flexible working. Requiring you to attend the Oxfordshire offices just once a month.

Amazing 20% pension contribution plus generous holiday.

You will be the Senior Category Manager taking responsibility for spend in relation to:

• Fleet & Transport - Emergency services vehicles
• Professional & Corporate Services- Upcoming projects related to HR spend

This is a strategic role that will see you identifying and proceeding with re-tenders as well as monitoring the market for new solutions and providers of more niche services. Ensuring effective category and contract management and providing the organisation with robust and effective options.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience from a government funded organisation such as Emergency Services or NHS.
• Extensive public sector procurement experience
• Significant experience running tendering exercises ( PCR, Frameworks, Individual contracts)
• Extensive category management
• Team management experience
