Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust on an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join their non-clinical category team. 

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is a combined acute and community Trust providing services at a number of sites across Rotherham, including Rotherham Hospital, Rotherham Community Health Centre, BreathingSpace, Park Rehabilitation Centre and Kimberworth Place, to a population of more than 260,000 people.

Role:

An excellent development opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to join a forward-thinking team at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Senior Buyer within the Procurement function, and directly supporting the non-medical Category Manager and team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services to support our operations.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate they have the essential buying skills to support and drive excellent customer service to contribute to the strategic aims of the organisation.

Duties will include;

  • Work within the non-clinical category, assisting in the implementation of the category strategy
  • Engage with stakeholders, building relationships and collaborating with other NHS Trusts
  • Deliver efficiencies to the Trust via cost reduction, cost avoidance, demand management or improvements to quality.
  • Utilise national frameworks to produce mini competitions and direct awards
  • Liaise with suppliers and put together Requests for Quotation’s

Person:

The successful Senior Buyer;

  • Open to individuals from either a Public or Private sector background
  • Strong communicator, stakeholder manager and team player
  • Possess a ‘can do’ and ‘will do’ approach
