Senior Buyer

A newly created opportunity for an experienced Construction Procurement professional to join the established procurement function of this Cambridge-based organisation. With a need to be in the office 2 days per week with flexible working hours available, this role offers an exceptional benefits package including 41 days holiday. This key role will manage a variety of key stakeholder relationships, providing advice and support across a range of construction-related procurement activity.

Working as an ambassador for procurement across the local stakeholder population, this role will fulfil purchasing requirements through existing frameworks or by delivering bespoke contract solutions to meet stakeholder needs. Other key duties will include managing contractual risk, ensuring that local supply chain solutions are meeting stakeholder needs and are fit for purpose, strategically manage suppliers and drive collaboration with internal stakeholders and build positive relationships across the business.

To succeed in this role you will have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, be self-motivated and positive in your approach to work. With demonstrable experience of managing a range of procurement projects and managing supplier relationships you will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrable experience of procurement in the construction industry is essential. With high levels of flexibility and autonomy available, this role offers significant scope for long-term development and progression.
