Description

• Manage and develop supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply of high-quality goods.
• Develop strategic procurement policies and processes in line with company objectives.
• Negotiate pricing strategies with suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness.
• Identify new product opportunities and work closely with the product development team.
• Monitor market trends in the FMCG industry to inform purchasing strategies.
• Oversee risk management within the supply chain.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with legal and company regulations in all procurement activities.

Profile

A successful Senior Buyer should have:

• Prior senior-level trading experience, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Prior experience in senior stakeholder management and leading high-level meetings.
• Prior success in onboarding new suppliers and exclusive partners.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills and ability to discuss contractual agreements.
• An understanding of market trends and the ability to apply this knowledge to buying strategies.
• Able to work on-site 5 days per week and international travel during trade events.
• Experience in homeware and DIY would be highly advantageous.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
