Location - Remote with occasional travel in to the offices in Hurley (2 - 4 times a month)
OTE -Up to £106,000
The Opportunity
Our client is on the lookout for a passionate, enthusiastic, and professional Senior Business Development Manager to join the growing Strategic Acquisition team at their market leading IoT connectivity supplier. This new business hunter role offers the chance to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking company, dedicated to innovation and customer success.
Key Relationships
You will play a pivotal role within the Sales function, establishing and nurturing relationships with new prospects to secure the onboarding of net new customers. These customers will then transition to Account Development or Inside Sales for further engagement. Your success will depend on your ability to communicate effectively with diverse contacts at varying organisational levels, showcasing versatility and a personable nature.
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, your primary mission will be to identify and secure new accounts, driving long-term, high-revenue business. You will enjoy a degree of autonomy, backed by a supportive environment that fosters growth in sales skills and industry knowledge. Candidates must bring experience in the IoT OR a proven track record in B2B new business acquisition.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Marketing on events and webinars to attract prospects.
- Target key players within your market, understanding their needs and how our client can meet them.
- Engage in a multi-touch sales strategy to generate new appointments.
- Build and maintain a high-performing sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly goals.
- Work closely with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction and expectation management.
Skills & Behaviours Required:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in consultative sales and solutions-based selling.
- Demonstrable experience in IoT connectivity sales or similar industries.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage high-level decision-makers.
- Strong negotiation, objection handling, and closing skills.
- Resilient, with effective time management and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience working with the energy or transport sectors is a plus!
