A progressive international law firm is looking for a highly experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join their global team based in London on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.

The firm’s marketing and business development function is located in major cities across EMEA, Asia Pacific and the US. They execute the firm's strategy and drive profitable growth with a specific focus on chosen industries, markets and clients. The team focuses on industry solutions and client experience, driving campaigns, leveraging client insights and managing strategic initiatives to service their client's needs. The successful applicant will assume a leadership role in the marketing and business development team, responsible for driving collaboration, growth and client engagement with respect to focus areas for the firm’s UK market. Reporting into the Regional Business Development Director, this position is aligned to Corporate priorities and you will serve as a member of the regional leadership team, working closely with the sponsoring Partner Leads and Practice Heads to develop, define and execute the strategy for strategically important focus areas across the region. Acting as a senior advisor and coach, you will proactively support the planning and execution of the Regional Growth Roadmap and develop and lead market facing initiatives to meet strategic plan goals, evaluating progress on implementation. Managing and reporting on BD budgets and data, the Senior Business Development Manager will utilise market and client insights to keep up to date with current and emerging issues impacting the market. You will enjoy a broad role with responsibilities across the entire BD and marketing mix., including CRM responsibility for a small community of client growth accounts, managing and supporting the entire opportunity pursuit process and providing strategic direction for all major non-industry aligned client opportunities including bids and proposals. The role holder will also be responsible for designing, developing and implementing integrated revenue generating and profile raising campaigns and thought leadership.

Commercially astute with an innovative mind-set, the ideal candidate will have significant business development experience in either a law firm or a professional services environment, to include demonstrable success working in a client facing capacity and client listening experience. With the ability to influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation with strong executive presence, the Senior Business Development Manager will have a proven track record of leading a team and cultivating a high performance culture. Collaborative and a highly effective team player, you must also enjoy managing multiple projects and activities whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
