Senior Business Data Analyst

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Business Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in senior management reporting, leveraging data to optimise processes, and acting as a bridge between risk management functions and technologists. Your primary responsibility will be to prototype and define reporting and analytical requirements in a concise, logical, and understandable manner. You'll collaborate closely with Risk, Control, and Compliance functions, as well as central reporting teams.
Criteria/Qualifications

1. Analytical Proficiency: Ability to effectively use and interpret data, employing analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
2. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accurate results through careful and conscientious work.
3. Thought Leadership: Capability to provide thought leadership and build consensus amongst multiple stakeholders.
4. Organisational Agility: Excellent organisational skills, allowing you to multitask and adapt to changing circumstances.
5. Creative Problem-Solving: Experience generating creative solutions for change-related projects.
6. Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, enabling you to influence senior stakeholders and act as a translator between technological teams and the business.

Knowledge/Experience

• Dealing with Risk and Control Functions (Required): You should have hands-on experience working with risk and control functions.
• Risk Management Practices (Required): Familiarity with risk management practices is essential.
• Global Sales & Trading Environment (Preferred): Exposure to a global sales and trading environment would be advantageous.

Skills

• Advanced Excel Knowledge (Required): Proficiency in Excel, including complex data manipulation and analysis.
• Agile Delivery Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Tableau or Equivalent (Preferred): Experience with data visualisation tools.
• SQL / Python (Preferred): Basic knowledge of SQL and Python for data querying and analysis
