Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Business Data Analyst to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in senior management reporting, leveraging data to optimise processes, and acting as a bridge between risk management functions and technologists. Your primary responsibility will be to prototype and define reporting and analytical requirements in a concise, logical, and understandable manner. You'll collaborate closely with Risk, Control, and Compliance functions, as well as central reporting teams.
As a Senior Business Data Analyst, you will:

• Be a significant contributor to the development of risk and control assessments for market products and asset classes.
• Work alongside senior business stakeholders to ensure that risk and control assessments have comprehensive scope, are fit for purpose, and adhere to regulatory expectations and policy requirements.
• Execute assigned deliverables and work products, managing cross-team dependencies and proactively identifying issues and risks.
• Drive engagement across the Markets business and collaborate with stakeholders across the three lines of defence, as needed.
• Inform key updates and decisions for presentation to management within your areas of responsibility.

Knowledge/Experience

• Dealing with Risk and Control Functions (Required): You should have hands-on experience working with risk and control functions.
• Risk Management Practices (Required): Familiarity with risk management practices is essential.
• Global Sales & Trading Environment (Preferred): Exposure to a global sales and trading environment would be advantageous.

Skills

1. Advanced Excel Knowledge (Required): Proficiency in Excel, including complex data manipulation and analysis.
2. Agile Delivery Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
3. Tableau or Equivalent (Preferred): Experience with data visualisation tools.
4. SQL / Python (Preferred): Basic knowledge of SQL and Python for data querying and analysis.
