Key notes regarding the role:
.NET Specialist 70-80% with 20/30% Python knowledge or Python 70/80% with .NET 20/30%
Middle tier of Python/.NET with little UI is good.
Picking up a lot from the backend, there will be work to do in python of fixing bugs, refactoring the code, removing technical debt.
They have a UI developer in the team doing the heavy lifting, wants someone with exposure to FE.
DEV CAREER HISTORY:
Must be in long standing employment, if they're moving around every 1 year, you will be rejected.

1st 3months: kick start recessions, address technical debt then transition to modernisation of app using AWS/Azure/TDD

Key Responsibilities:
Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth.
Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.
Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities.
Work with business and technical staff to resolve problems and respond to suggestions for improvements or enhancements.
Ensure products have been produced according to company procedures and standards.
Operational support of existing applications with the portfolio.

Skills and Experience
Essential
At least 5 years of experience in building large-scale software applications.
Refactoring of legacy applications.
Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
Expert level knowledge of Angular, JQuery, HTML, CSS, Python and C#.
Good working knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL.
Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
Experience in unit/integration testing.
Experience in Agile delivery techniques, processes, practices, and tooling.
Prior experience of working in (Re)Insurance.
