As our next Senior Aerothermal Engineer Full-Vehicle, you’ll be based at our Gaydon site in the heart of Warwickshire and will be instrumental in developing aerothermal solutions. Your remit will be to lead the Aerothermal Full Vehicle up-front analysis for vehicle programmes and support the development of the wider platform strategy, from concept to delivery along with supporting the Aero team’s long-term development.

To excel in this role, you'll need to be highly motivated, organised, and have the capability to deliver results. Working with a team of experienced engineers, you’ll be responsible for running simulations, conducting analysis of these simulations, and then reporting and problem solving. You will present your findings in senior level meetings. Having climate wind tunnel or track testing experience would be a bonus.

In this role, you will manage your own workload and have a good relationship with your team. To you, it’s about being Courageous. You’re looking to be Open and honest with your team.

As a Senior Aerothermal Engineer Full-Vehicle, you are capable of delivering results with strong teamworking skills, and you would relish the opportunity to work on the whole car primarily alongside the Powertrain and body teams. Along with internal teams you will also collaborate with external providers such as software suppliers, test facilities and proving grounds.

The Key Requirements...

  • In-depth knowledge of physical testing data acquisition and testing techniques
  • Degree level qualification
  • Experienced a full vehicle programme cycle
  • Experience of working with Teamcenter, ANSA, TAItherm and CFD solver, preferably Star CCM+.
  • Thorough knowledge of aerodynamics and thermodynamics in a similar role with either F1, an OEM or as an outsourced partner
