We're seeking a Vehicle Resource Centre (VRC) Coordinator to join the Strategic Assets and Property team of one of our NHS clients.

Contract duration: Initial 3 months with potential for extension

Salary: Starting at £15.07

Work schedule: Full-time on-site, incorporating mixed shifts, evenings, and weekends on a shift rota basis

Location: Waterloo, SE1

As a VRC Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing vehicles and equipment to meet the ambulance service's demand and performance standards.
  • Providing operational support to internal team members and external departments like hospitals and police.
  • Ensuring adherence to ambulance service protocols and core service strategies, including health and safety.
  • Maintaining regular contact with external stakeholders and departments to handle a variety of complex situations with discretion and sensitivity.
  • Resolving resourcing issues and challenges, while implementing innovative solutions.
  • Organising vehicle movements and ensuring requirements are met.
  • Keeping an accurate and up-to-date record to provide reports on vehicles off the roads and liaise with departments regarding issues.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Effective communication skills - you should be able to confidently communicate with team members and external members and form positive relationships.
  • Analytical skills - you should be able to analyse real-time data to produce clear indications of demand and identify deficiencies while interpreting detailed information.
  • Ability to work under pressure - you should be comfortable working towards deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Adaptability - you should be able to quickly adapt to new methods of working and implement suggestions to improve ways of working.
  • Independence - you should be comfortable working independently, while also being able to work effectively as part of a team.
