We are currently recruiting a Senior Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a robust background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping duties, looking to contribute to a dynamic finance function with career progression opportunities.

Job Title: Senior Accounts Assistant

Location: Tuxford, Nottinghamshire

Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience), pro rata'd based on 37.5 hours.

Working hours - 30 - 37.5 hours a week, flexible start / finish times and Hybrid working available after training.

Role Overview:

  • Initially based in the office for training and familiarisation with our processes, with the opportunity for hybrid working thereafter.
  • Responsible for transactional finance tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Support in controlling cash flow, processing expenses, and ensuring accurate timesheet input for payroll.
  • Experience in the construction industry is advantageous, although not essential.
  • Potential career progression to become Finance Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and bookkeeping duties.
  • Control cash flow to ensure the smooth running of financial operations.
  • Process expenses and reconcile accounts as required.
  • Ensure all timesheets are accurately inputted and ready for payroll processing.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and overall bookkeeping duties.
  • Familiarity with transactional finance processes.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Experience in the construction industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Sage and Microsoft Office Suite.
