Senior Accountant - Modern Accountancy Firm - Hybrid Working

AJ Chambers are proud to be working with a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their successful and growing team in Luton.

Key responsibilities:

• Overseeing a client portfolio
• Compiling financial statements for Limited Companies in compliance with FRS102, complete with a comprehensive working paper file for review by managers and partners.
• Conducting corporation tax computations.
• Performing personal tax computations.
• Handling VAT Returns and bookkeeping using Xero/Dext.
• Managing payroll processing and ensuring effective management.
• Addressing ad hoc queries from HMRC and clients.
• Supervising a junior team member, involving task assignment for the month, file reviews, and providing training and developmental support.

Required experience:

• You will ideally an ACCA/ ACA qualified accountant.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working within an accountancy practice.
• You’ll have a breadth of knowledge on complex accounting queries.
• You will have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable rectifying queries as soon as they are brought to your attention.
