Senior Accountant

• Annual Salary: £45K - £50K
• Location: Hybrid – WFH with travel to Crowborough & London when required
• Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team, working a hybrid role with the option to Work From Home and across two offices in Crowborough & London when required. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This role requires a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate must have EMEA/Global Experience at dealing with different currencies. Day-to-day of the role:

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
• Analyse financial information and summarize financial status.
• Provide technical support and advice on management accounting.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
• Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Plan, assign, and review staff’s work.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Hybrid working across 2 offices and partly at home.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• O Level / GCSE Maths & English required.
• Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or similar) with at least 5 year of accounting experience.
• Must have EMEA and / or global experience.
• Management of staff with an auditing background and additional languages would advantageous.
• Conversant with tax rules and regulations in the UK, submission of tax returns, VAT rules & regs when trading with other markets.
• Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Proficient knowledge of ERP and financial consolidation systems.
• NetSuite experience will be an advantage.
