Teaching Assistant needed for School in Eastbourne

We are looking for a passionate individual who is eager to support children with a range of different Special Educational Needs. Hearing impairment, speech and language delay, and ASD. This role will be supporting children with difficulties in communication and speech, providing activities to improve the development of speech and pronunciation.

About the role

  • Supporting Children with a range of needs; Autism, ADHD, Communication difficulties, Foetal Alcohol Syndrome.

  • Work in a Supportive and friendly environment; supportive staffing environment

  • Full time: Monday - Thursday: 8.30am -3.30pm

  • Start date - ASAP

  • Personal care is involved

About you

  • Be confident in supporting children with communication barriers

  • Some experience or understanding of Special Educational Needs

  • Understanding of Non-verbal and Speech and Language difficulties

  • Be reliable

  • Makaton trained preferable

  • Be proactive
