Empowering Learning is working in partnership with local schools in the Borough of Sutton. The schools are looking for candidates who can support pupils with Autism. Role is available to start immediately

The role is to work with secondary students with ADHD, Autism / EBD.

An experienced Behaviour Buddy will be confident in building rapport and trusting relationships to progress learning. This role involves working closely with class teachers and the other Staff to implement a tailored learning approach where required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have a passion for education and SEN and the schools have experienced teams already in place and can provide additional training and development.

The students have Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and require 1-1 support. You will need to confident in this role.

In order to be considered for this role you need to:

  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
  • Have previous experience of working in a UK SEND Schools
  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience within the last 12 months

It would be an advantage, not necessary, if you have previously worked in:

  • SEMH / PRU settings
  • Youth Work
  • Sports coaches and mentors
  • Graduates in Sport, Psychology, Drama and Counselling and Therapy
  • Worked in the prison service or as a security guard
