A fantastic school in Dudley are looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants! The school is for pupils across all key stages that have Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). The post requires an experienced individual who can work as part of a team and who is child centred in their approach.

Applicants will enjoy support and guidance and a very friendly team, who work together and aim towards the best possible educational experience for their students. The school have a great ethos and go over and beyond to support their pupils to gain the right skills, experience and knowledge to move on to further education or to start the world of employment.

The post is 5 days a week, immediate start on a long-term basis. The post is very rewarding and is ideal for teaching assistants who have SEND experience or supporting pupils with behavioural difficulties. The school have a strong track record in proving the right support, training and guidance for their staff to be equipped for the right tools to be the best possible teaching assistant they can be.

The successful applicant will need:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent
  • To be conscientious and enthusiastic and positive
  • To have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Restraint Training i.e. Team Teach, MAPA, PRICE etc (Desirable)
  • To have a flexible approach to teaching
