SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT, STOCKPORT

Holden Knight Education are working specifically with an SEN school in Stockport.

This Stockport based SEN school are working exclusively with ourselves to provide SEN teaching assistants to work daily, longer term basis and on a permanent basis.

Throughout the academic year, pupils will need support on a 1:1 basis, groups and support with EHCP's.

SEN Teaching Assistants are integral to a school & offer you a long successful career in Education. If you have previous experience of working with young people through clubs, children's residential homes, care homes, SEND homes or experience in a position of authority this role could be for yourself. Level, 1, 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

You will need to be calm under pressure and stressful situations. You could be placed in situations with a lack of preparation time due to the changing nature of schools.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:

Location - Stockport - SEN Teaching Assistant.

Type of work - SEN Teaching Assistant.

Start date - ASAP or September 2024.

Likely Duration - Ongoing.

Contract type - Temporary & Permanent. This client offers 12 weeks temporary work then candidates have the opportunity to move into a permanent role.

Minimum rate of pay - from £98.02 per day Umbrella.

Hours - 8:30am - 4pm daily.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

GCSE Maths & English desirable.

Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference).

Experience of being a teaching assistant or in a similar field (which we can reference).

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential & we can provide the training).

Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (we can provide the training).

To be eligible for this role., YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK.

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £52.00 (we can take this from your first weeks salary instead).

Provide a minimum of two professional references (No personal email addresses).
