SEND Teacher – Key Stage 3 & 4
Do you have experience teaching children with special educational needs? Are you a qualified teacher who enjoys helping young people overcome barriers to education? This wonderful special school is looking for a QTS teacher to teach small groups of children in either Key Stage 3 or 4, who have a primary diagnosis of Autism. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a SEND Teacher who has previous experience teaching in a MLD or complex needs setting.

As a SEND Teacher you will be teaching a small class of children with a variety of additional needs and will receive outstanding support from the schools leadership team. You will also be working closely with a team of outstanding SEND Teachers and be supported by experienced Teaching Assistants in each class. This vibrant and nurturing school environment has been praised for the excellent levels of support that it provides for students. Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role sand experience teaching in a SEND setting is desirable.
Job Role:
  • Teaching small classes of Key Stage 3/4 children with additional needs
  • Planning and delivering lessons to meet the need of individual pupils
  • Liaising with the SENCO and TA’s to ensure children are supported appropriately
  • Making school a nurturing, welcoming and safe place for pupils
  • Helping young people to break down academic and social barriers
