Position: Social Care and SEND Quality Assurance Officer
Location: Northwest Council
Department: Children's Services with Special Educational Needs

The Role:
As a Social Care and SEND Quality Assurance Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support for children with SEND. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive audits and reviews of social care services to assess compliance with SEND regulations and standards.
  • Developing and implementing robust quality assurance processes specifically tailored to social care and SEND services.
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Providing guidance and training to staff members on best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Monitoring performance indicators and outcomes to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

  • A deep commitment to improving outcomes for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or audit roles within social care, SEND services, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in social care and SEND provision.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
