Job Advertisement: Special Needs Year 2 Teacher

Position: Special Needs Year 2 Teacher
Start Date: April 29, 2024
Contract: Full-time (5 days a week)
Salary: £165-£180 per day

Are you a compassionate and dedicated educator with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? We are seeking an experienced Special Needs Year 2 Teacher to join our inclusive school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Tailor Instruction: Design and deliver personalized lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our Year 2 students with special needs.
  • Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with autism, speech and language difficulties, and other complex needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Inclusion Advocacy: Champion inclusion and promote a positive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with autism, speech and language needs, and other special educational needs.
  • Empathy: A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of our students.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust teaching methods based on individual student requirements.
