Job Title: SEN Tutor - Alternative Provision

Location: Lymington, Hampshire

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs? Do you have experience providing academic support to individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join TimePlan as an SEN Tutor within an alternative provision in Lymington.

As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs. Your role will involve assisting with core subjects, as well as engaging students in sports and outdoor activities. You will play a crucial role in helping students develop academically, while also supporting their social and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored academic support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Facilitating small group activities and outdoor sessions, including sports and gardening.
  • Building strong rapport with students and providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to create individualized learning plans for students.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience providing academic and pastoral support to students with SEND, particularly those with SEMH needs.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with students and create a supportive learning environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young people.
  • Qualifications in education or SEN are desirable but not essential.
