Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who has supported children with SEN on a 1:1 basis?

I am working with a lovely, friendly primary school in Preston (PR2) that requires a patient, sensitive Teaching Assistant to support an SEN child in Y2.

The child is based full-time in their mainstream classroom but requires help to engage and progress with their learning activities. The Teaching Assistant needs to have a calm, patient approach, and be able to provide plenty of encouragement and appropriate questioning and communication.

I would like to recruit an experienced, adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide excellent 1:1 support for the child as well as others and help them to make progress in all areas. You must be able to integrate into a staff team easily and be a patient and understanding person who can build relationships confidently with children with additional needs.

This role is to start as soon as possible, and will be required for the foreseeable, with the potential of becoming a permanent position with the school.

Prior experience of working in UK primary schools as an SEN Teaching Assistant is essential, and you will also need a relevant qualification to be considered for the role.

It is essential that you have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to pay for a new one at a cost of £45.80.

If you are a sensitive person with strong communication skills and can offer effective support to children with additional needs in all areas of their development, please apply now.
