SEN Teaching Assistant | Barking, IG11 | £95-105 | Long Term-Perm | ASAP Start

LTF Recruitment are working alongside a vibrant and inclusive three form-entry primary school in Barking. The school are currently seeing passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team of support staff. As a Teaching Assistant you will play a crucial role in ensuring the inclusion and progress of all pupils in the classroom. Working closely with the class teacher, you'll provide targeted support to children with special educational needs, enabling them to fully engage with the curriculum and thrive academically and socially.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with special educational needs, implementing tailored interventions to meet their individual learning goals.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to accommodate the diverse needs of the class.
  • Support pupils in accessing learning resources and adapting activities to suit their needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and supported.
  • Monitor and track the progress of pupils, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably within a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs support are desirable but not essential.
