Job Opportunity: Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant in Oldham

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis in Oldham. This rewarding role involves providing crucial support to children with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Key Requirements:

  • Valid child-based DBS on the Update Service
  • Experience working in a primary school setting
  • Passion for supporting children with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one support to children with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom
  • Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans
  • Supporting children with their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborating with teachers to create inclusive learning environments
  • Helping to assess children's progress and providing feedback to the SENCO and other staff members
